It’s hard to see, but this is the only road in and out of our end of our condo complex. This photo was taken at 9:50 last night. If yesterday had not been a holiday, I would have been arriving home from work at about that time. The road was blocked for only a short time, but what if someone needed to call an ambulance or had to get out in a hurry? They would have been stuck. This site is in front of four units, at least one of which has kids living in it and it was a school night. I’m sure the folks who had to work in the morning were none to pleased either.
They appeared to be installing a new drain on a section of the road that a very large puddle formed on. A very large puddle that would inevitably turn into a dangerous sheet of ice come Winter. A very large puddle that had not formed there until this very same company repaved the road last year. Wouldn’t it have been easier and cheaper to regrade and repave this stretch of road to correct the problem? I wonder. Well, there’s the yearly association meeting tomorrow night and I’m sure it will come up.
I s’pose kudos are due to the workers for sticking around to get the job done, but 10pm at night? Really people? Give me a break.
